The Road to Hana
| This is all about the voyage and not the destination. Hana is very rural without the “touristy” places (which is why it is so beloved by locals). The Hana Maui Hotel will provide a rather expensive lunch or the tiny hamburger shack down at the bay will give you a less-than-gourmet cheap eat. | |

If you get motion-sick, be sure to take motion-sickness medicine before embarking on this drive.The local residents have to make this long commute to work daily so be a friend and pull over every time it is safe and there is a car behind you. If some one gives you a shaka, give ‘em a wave back or practice your shaka sign. Folks are very friendly and thank you waves are the norm when someone lets you go first across one of the many one-lane bridges. |
